Will this tarnish or turn my customers' skin green?
No. This paperclip chain is built on a 316L surgical-grade stainless steel base, not brass. The 18K Gold PVD coating is applied 8 to 10 microns thick and surpasses 1,200 hours of neutral salt-spray testing, so it does not flake or wear off the way plating does. It is non-tarnish, waterproof, and hypoallergenic (nickel-free and lead-free). Your customers can wear it through showers and daily life without it turning their skin green.
Is this chain sold by the foot?
Yes. It is sold by the foot, unfinished and without a clasp, which is the format permanent jewelry artists and charm bar builders need. If you want a finished paperclip necklace with the clasp attached, WJW stocks that as a separate item.
What link widths and finishes are available?
Three link widths (2.5mm, 4mm, and 6.5mm) in two finishes: polished stainless and 18K Gold PVD.
Can I use this for welded permanent jewelry?
Yes. This is one of the most commonly stocked chains for permanent jewelry pop-ups. It is sold by the foot so you can cut to the customer's wrist or neck and weld on site.

I got the larger size because the only other review said these were too small. The 65mm turned out to be a great size and pretty comparable in diameter to other bangles I have purchased.

The wrist watch is cute—I think I like the style without a matte shine down the middle a little better—but that is personal preference.
I needed to take off a couple of links to make it fit right which I thought was good. I’m a little bit on the larger side so I know for a fact I will need to take off links for a majority of my customers (if buying in person) but I like that it means I can confidently sell to someone a little bigger than me too.
I do wish there was more guidance on HOW to take off the links. It was easy but since I had never done something like that before I was very nervous and lacked confidence in how to do it until I found a video on YouTube that seemed to be the best match on what to do.
I always receive shipments quickly and I’m always surprised that everything looks so much better in person and with great quality
